Not sure which skip bin is right for you?
7 Skips Sydney offers affordable skip bins in a variety of sizes ranging from 2M3 to 10M3 bins. The type and amount of waste or rubbish you want to remove will often determine the skip bin size you will require.
Based on years of experience, we’ve observed that it is better to hire a skip bin that is a little bigger than you think you might need rather than having to order a second bin which will cost you a lot more in the long run. We also have an experienced team in Sydney for skip bin hire services if you are considering looking to rent a skip.

What size skip bin do i need?
The size of the skip bin you need will vary depending on the type and amount of waste you have.
To estimate the volume of waste you can multiply the ‘length x width x height’.
For example:
1.6 m x 1.8 m x 1.3 m = approx. 3.75 cubic metres (You would choose a 4 Cubic Metre Bin)
You can also estimate the number of wheelbarrow loads your pile of rubbish requires. Our skip bin guide estimates the number of wheelbarrow each bin size can fit.
How high can i fill the skip bin?
We only accept skip bins that are filled to the rim. We cannot accept or collect skip bins that are filled above the rim due to the safety risk of spillage during transport.
Can i book on the day of delivery?

What is Asbestos and how can i spot it?
Houses that were built before 1985 are likely to contain some form of fibro asbestos sheeting in bathrooms or eaves of houses. Asbestos is also commonly found in older style concrete driveways, old roof tiles, corrugated roofing, old Telstra pits and electrical meter boards.
Please see below example images of Asbestos:

If you have filled your bin to the maximum level and you find that you still have waste leftover you can give us a call on 1300 701 701 or email us at [email protected] and arrange to replace your full bin with an empty bin. Please refer to our skip bin size guide above to calculate the remaining rubbish pile.
Will the skip bin damage my driveway or grass?
Unless you are filling your skip with extremely heavy waste generally no, however there is always a risk. If you are concerned we recommend that you place 2-3 timber blocks in sufficient lengths on your driveway or grass where you’d like the skip bin to be placed.
Please note that for soft or drenched grass areas it is highly likely that trucks will leave tyre impressions and placing the skip bin will cause impression marks. Our team of professional drivers will however try their utmost effort to take all possible care for placement of the skip bin.
How can i prevent my neighbours filling my skip bin?
Although it is difficult to completely prevent others from using your skip bin there are a few tips & hints that can help:
- Fill up your skip bin quickly before others can
- Place it in a position that deters others from using your skip (clear view on private property)
- Cover your skip with any tarp or cover when not in use
What is the recommended skip bin size for a standard household cleanup?
Based on our experience a 4 cubic meter skip bin is suited for average household cleanups whilst a 6 cubic meter for slightly larger household cleanups. However the right skip bin size can vary from each customer so measuring the volume of your waste will be the most accurate.
